Better Together

Helping Pets in Poverty or Crisis

40% of low-income pet owners surrender their pets because they can’t afford veterinary bills. The average cost of veterinary care for a healthy dog is $1235 per year. The average cost for a healthy cat is about $1044 per year.

Helping one person might not change the world, but it will change the world for one person.

PAWS aims to prevent companion animal suffering, overpopulation, and unnecessary euthanasia or surrender to shelters and rescues. We collaborate with clinics offering essential veterinary services to subsidize vaccination, emergency care and spay/neuter services for those who are under the care of low-income or in-crisis guardians.
