Access for Everyone Fund

PAWS aims to encourage access to essential veterinary care for all members of the public, and provide community agencies with the tools and resources to connect their clients with pets to the right services. Through partnerships with veterinary clinics and community agencies, PAWS aims to improve the welfare of companion animals across Ontario.

PAWS personnel works with a network of volunteers in existing and new communities to identify veterinary clinics that offer low cost services to members of the public, to encourage clinics to offer low cost services, and to identify and build relationships with community agencies helping those in crisis. Our aim is to identify, facilitate and support access to essential veterinary care for as many people as possible, and to provide community agencies with the tools and resources they need to connect their clients with pets to the right services. This includes supporting veterinary clinics in rural areas and mobile clinics offering essential services to underserved communities. This also includes working with our community partners to identify new areas for program development.

This fund aims to support this endeavour, and is open to requests from community agencies, veterinary clinics or rural clinics needing assistance to bring their services to underserved communities. There is no financial allowance set per animal, as members of the public and agencies can apply for funds for specific animal needs under our other programs; instead, this fund aims to offer personnel and financial support.
