Our PAWS team of dynamic and enthusiastic volunteers believe in the cause and work very well together. Most roles are virtual and can be done from anywhere in the Eastern Time Zone. Some roles require attendance at local events in Southwest Ontario specifically London/Middlesex, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Hamilton, and Brant County.
Applications Team – administer programs, ensuring quick & easy access by the public and vet clinics, handling and tracking all applications and pet/people stories. Coordinate with Outreach and Vet Clinics to understand community needs and recommend changes to service offerings.
Board of Directors – govern and direct activities to achieve our purpose as a charity and our strategic objectives, while ensuring PAWS meets legal, ethical and financial responsibilities.
Education Team – plan and create content that informs about animal welfare, preventive care and social issues for use in blogs, brochures, socials, articles for media.
Finance Team – manage PAWS finances to meet obligations, minimize costs, maximize impact.
Fundraising Team – develop plans to attract and retain donors, with events and initiatives
Governance and Support Team – assist cross-team with prioritizing and implementing our strategic plan, streamlining processes, metrics, and reports. Guide policy development and organizational compliance.
Marketing & Communications Team – grow awareness of PAWS with messaging, graphics, brand guidance, web design, compelling campaigns, media connections and advertising.
Outreach Team – engage with businesses, community agencies and veterinary clinics to broaden awareness of PAWS’ programs, explore potential partnerships and opportunities for expansion.
Tools and Optimization Team – choose and implement appropriate tools for the entire team, providing training, guidance, process advice and tech support.
Volunteer Lead – Responsible for recruiting and organizing volunteers for roles and projects and guiding our volunteer engagement initiatives.
